Eid-el-Fitril: Muslim Group Calls For Peaceful Coexistence

A Muslim group, Da’wah and Guidance Bureau of Nigeria (DGBN) has felicitated with Muslim faithful in Ebonyi and across the country for the successful completion of the 2019 Ramadan fast which was crowned by the Eid-el-Fitri celebration.

The group in a press statement issued by its chairman in Ebonyi, Dr Haroun Aja congratulated Muslims all over Nigeria for the celebration of the Eid-el-Fitri and called for peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.

He described peace as necessary ingredient for national unity and development, saying that peaceful coexistence among the adherents of the two key religions in Nigeria was critical for the actualization of Nigeria’s unity which the founding fathers fought for.

The statement reads in parts, “Following the successful completion of this year’s 1440 AH corresponding to 2019 fasting in the Holy month of Ramadan, the Da’wah And Guidance Bureau of Nigeria (DGBN) felicitates with Nigerians and Muslim faithful globally.”

“We bring the best felicitations and appreciations for the accomplishments and blessings in this spiritual journey and as well ask that the Almighty Allah to accept our Ramadan fasting prayers and supplications from us as an act of sincere worship.”

“We equally ask God for many more years of returns in witness of this divine practical devotion and spiritual engagement to all Muslims and humanity for a society and world bestowed with security, stability and development.”

“It is our sincere submission that the Muslim world in particular and humanity at large all year round will continue to make progress and have prosperity and may Allah reward our righteous Works and whole endeavour with beautiful compensation and immense benefits including ‘Al-Janatul Firdaus’.”

“We specially pray for our dear country, Nigeria and President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) for his reign over the affairs of Nigeria in peace, stability till 2023.”
