Political Appointees Charged on Developmental Services

The newly political appointees in Ebonyi State on Wednesday 7th August 2019 were charged to see their appointment as an opportunity to contribute to the development of the State.
Hon. Elizabeth Ogbaga, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, made the call at Virgin Land Hotel Abakaliki while addressing newsmen, pointing out that the only way to maintain and sustain the high level of the tempo of development currently witnessed in the State would be to serve diligently in line with the vision of the state governor, Engr. David Umahi.
The former lawmaker said that the development of Ebonyi State was a collective effort which demands individual sacrifices from all concern citizenry and called colleague appointees to see themselves not as most qualified for the job but as an instrument to up life the state to an enviable height.
Earlier, the Deputy Principal Secretary to the Governor, Chief Emmanuel Obasi (JP) commended the appointees and the state governor for his equity and fairness in his appointment, stressing that the entire zones were fairly represented.

Chief Emmanuel Obasi hinted that the state Governor made his selection based on firsthand knowledge about his appointees who many had been tested on their ability in the last tenure and proved worthy to be part of the new administration in succeeding its goal in the map of global recognition.
Also, the Special Assistant to the Governor on security and utility, North zone, Hon. Benedict Nwovu appreciated the state governor for giving equal chance to all the zones and called on all hands to be on deck to secure the state and make lives comfort to the citizenry.
However, he advised them to be proactive in their duty and ensure their contribution are in line with the vision of their master.
Meanwhile, the former state minister for power and steel, Chief Goddy Ogbaga congratulated all the appointees and the state governor for his quality appointment, especially for his love for the family.
He noted that much is expected from them as they should toe the path of the developmental policies of the new government, hence, described as reliable forces to fulfill electoral promises of the governor and prayed God’s wisdom upon him to lead the state.
