Gov Umahi Suspends Engr. Ottah

The state government has suspended indefinitely the Special Assistant to Governor David Umahi on Project Monitoring (Ebonyi South), Engineer Felix Ottah.

An announcement that came from the office of the Secretary to the Government of Ebonyi State, Dr. Kenneth Ugbala, said he was suspended for lack of seriousness and commitment to duty which is an act sabotaging the efforts of the state government to develop the state within a short period.

Recall that Engr. Felix Ottah served as Special Assistant to the former Governor of the state, Chief Martin Elechi and was reappointed by the current state government to continue in the office.

He is the second Special Assistant the government is suspending within the short period they were appointed.
Mr. Francis Nweze was the first SA to receive the sledgehammer just two weeks after his appointment and till date, he is yet to be recalled to office.

Engr. Ottah, according to the statement was directed to handover all relevant government properties under his possession before the close of work on Tuesday 27th August 2019 to the Secretary to the State Government.
The statement read thus, “The Special Assistant to the Governor on Project Monitoring (Ebonyi South Zone), Engr. Felix Ottah is hereby suspended indefinitely from office with immediate effect.”

“This indefinite suspension from office is as a result of the glaring demonstration of lack of commitment and seriousness in the discharge of his official duties.”
