NAPPS Observes 14th Anniversary In Abakaliki

Members, National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) Ebonyi State on Monday 14th October, 2019 joined their counterparts across the Federation in commemorating NAPPS day and to celebrate 14 years of existence in Abakaliki.

Speaking during the event, the State Chairman of NAPPS, Elder Kingsley Igboke said that they were celebrating positive impact which they had made for the past 14 years towards national development in education sector in Ebonyi State and in Nigeria.

He added that his members had done a lot in complementing government effort by making education in Nigeria more standard and thereby urged other school owners who have not identified with their association to come as they are ever ready to accept other like minds.

He also advised the proprietors of unapproved schools to register with ministry of education so that they would be recognized at all times.

The Chairman of NAPPS, Ebonyi LGA Chapter, Mr. Paschal Daniel Ofoke corroborated the information and added that his colleagues had imparted quality education, morality, and discipline into the children.

He charged other proprietors and teachers not to relent in giving undulating knowledge to both pupils and students while appreciating his colleagues who participated in the celebration.

Chief OnyeomaKelechi, the immediate past president of NAPPS, Ebonyi State and Zonal Vice President, South East disclosed that the event was meant to celebrate the proprietors and the teachers in private schools over their enormous contributions to nation building.

He charged all and sundry not to derail from dishing out quality and comprehensive education to the citizenry.

A proprietress, Mrs. Okoha Grace J expressed gratitude on the progress already found in their association and she also appreciated Ebonyi State government for providing them with an enabling environment and out of school children policy already put in place targeted at helping the indigent parents and providing the children with an opportunity they would not have ordinarily given to themselves.

Highlights of the events include march pass done by all the participating schools,traditional dances and football matches.

It was learned that Governor Umahi was represented in the occasion by his Special Adviser on Internal Security and Utility,Abakaliki, Urban.
