Ebonyian Emerges Vice President NAPPS South East Zone

An Ebonyian and the immediate past Chairman of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) in Ebonyi state, Chief Onyeoma Kelechi Agbo has emerged the new Vice President saddled with the responsibility of piloting affairs of the Association in southeast zone of the country for the next four years.

Chief Onyeoma described as a selfless educationist who brought about tremendous improvement in the Association during his tenure in the state was elected into a higher office in a bid to improve the educational sector in the zone to replicate heights achieved by the association in the state during his tenure.

Chief Onyeoma and other newly sworn-in members of the Association in the southeast zone were admonished to represent their zones and their states effectively in accordance with the trust reposed in them by the body.

The National Secretary of the Association, Mazi Enyi Aboh who conducted the election and swearing-in ceremony gave the charge to the elected officials immediately after the exercise in Abakaliki, insisting that NAPPS shall eradicate the decay in Nigeria’s educational sector if given the needed support by the government.

Enyi commended the delegates for their comportment during the acclaimed peaceful, free and fair election exercise and charged the new executive to be alive to their constitutional responsibilities.

In his acceptance speech, the Vice President, South East Zone, Chief Onyeoma Kelechi expressed happiness at the opportunity given to him and his colleagues to serve and assured their association of effective representation.

He further promised to make sure that in unity, they will sensitize all the private schools within the zone as to achieve a comprehensive and standard education which has remain their targets and goal.

Onyeoma, however promised to make up all the areas that have lapses in the association within the zone.

Onyeoma said, “I am happy to be elected as South East Vice President of National Association Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS). As the Vice President, I will assist the National President to achieve our aims and objectives as already outlined in NAPPS Constitution.”

“The most important thing is that we are going to work as a team, and make sure that we sensitize our schools, give a comprehensive and standard education to our people which is the major aim of every Proprietor, which is to provide qualitative education, make sure that we train the children that will be the leaders of tomorrow.”

The newly sworn-in Executives includes Chief Onyeoma Kelechi as Zonal Vice President, Mrs. Ekweonu Felicia as Zonal Secretary, Dr. Ukwa Chiamaka as zonal Financial Secretary, Prince Ofor Mba Oke as zonal Treasurer, Rev. Sunday Nwali as Zonal Auditor, Mrs. Ann Isaac as zonal Welfare Officer, Obi Osita P as zonal Assistant Secretary and Barr. Mrs. Nonye Enemor as Legal Adviser.
