Following the visit of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College – Jaji Kaduna state, study team tour to Ebonyi state legislators ,the Speaker Ebonyi state House of Assembly Chief Francis Nwifuru has solicited intervention of the military to end boundary disputes in the state.
The Speaker represented during the courtesy visit by the Leader Hon Victor Chukwu at the Nkaliki legislative complex recently sought for military assistance to get lasting solutions to the crisis rocking the state boundaries to guarantee more rapid development.
Interacting with the study team led by Brig. Gen. Victor Ebhaleme (Director, Department of Joint Studies, Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji), represented by Group Captain Idowu Adewunmi (Chief Instructor, General Studies Division,Coordinator of Ebonyi State tour team ,the Speaker commended team for selecting the state to be part of their study and integrating other African countries which according to him will enhance unity in diversity.
It was a lively courtesy visit to Ebonyi State House of Assembly, as they discussed political, social and security programs and strategies operational in the State ,the way forward among other things.
Earlier, the Coordinator of the study tour Group Captain Idowu Adewunmi disclosed that Ebonyi state is one the six states selected for study into certain critical areas of national interest.
On behalf of the team ,Major Obiefuna expressed gratitude for the warm reception at the state legislative annex and pledged to do their research in the state diligently.
The visit also featured presentation of the souvenir and magazine produced by the college to the Speaker
According to them, the 2019 study tour theme is ‘ Accessing the state and local government efforts to enhancing national security.
Recall, the Armed Forces Command and Staff College – Jaji Kaduna state is a tri– service institution established to train high profile military officers.
