According to him, decentralization of the commands to the three senatorial zones in the state will make it easier for the group to cover at closer range and ensure faster reduction of crime rate to the barest minimum.
Officers under the new command to be headed by Mr. Okube Dominic were admonished to work in accordance to dictates of the law by reporting all cases to the police for prosecution and work in synergy with other sister security agencies.
“They must be obedient to laws of VGN and constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria. They must also work in synergy with other security agencies to make the state crime free. They must respect human rights.
“We want to decentralize the operation of VGN just like other security agencies in Nigeria. We are going to reinforce the Local Government Area commands, all geared towards reducing the security challenges ravaging the country. So, all hands must be on deck,” the State Commandant stated.

“Today is historic as VGN flag is being hosted in the land of Izzi Unuphu ward 8 on official inauguration of VGN area command to stamp out threats of criminality as a habitat of Inyimagu Izzi Unuphu can now sleep with their two eyes closed.”
